Bolivia urges UN to facilitate peace in Middle East
LA PAZ, April 14 (Xinhua) -- Bolivian President Luis Arce on Sunday called on the United Nations to de-escalate regional tensions and establish peace in the Middle East.
"We join the call of other countries around the world to establish peace in the Middle East within the framework of international law," Arce said on social media.
Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps launched strikes against Israel on Saturday in retaliation for the Israeli assault on its consulate in Damascus on April 1, which left seven officers dead.
"In wars, there are no winners. Everyone loses and the escalation of violence worldwide puts humanity at risk," Arce said. ■
